Weld Drawings for Production

I'm not sure if this has been asked, my search pulled up tons of weld questions. I need to make multiple drawings of different parts with information on how to tack the parts together. I want to include the caterpillars, callouts, and weld tables, but I'm finding this to be, not only tedious, but troublesome due to the how finicky showing welds and their callouts is in drawings. Any suggestions on how to speed up this process?

The picture shows what I have to deal with at the moment. I import annotations and have to sift through and delete every weld I've done so I can keep the ones I want for that view, only to have some of the caterpillars not show.

Also, forget changing the weld radius, I have to change them all one by one, it won't allow a batch change. Second picture.

So far I've made weld location drawing templates in the parts, I used solid lines, and did math to show stitch welds, I did try to make a weld model, but I have a feeling that will be just as unreliable as everything else.
