Dear All,

I know that in solid works we can save features like cut extrudeetc. in the design library and we can make use of these features inany of the other part models by just drag and drop.

i have a problem in using a revolved cuts or extruded like this.when i drag and drop a revoled cut feature whose section was drawnin say right plane, to a top surface of a casting then the solidworks shows error and the feature is created in the top surface ofthe casting with the top surface as sketch plane.

i know that the new feature should have a section whose sectionplane should be a plane which is perpendicular to the top surfaceof the casting where in selected.

there should be some selection method by which i could select theplane where is want it. i could not find this.Please some bodyhelp.

i have some revolved cut features which are to be used in manycasting models again and again. so i thought of using the drag anddrop concept in design library.

Could some body help?
