We routinely use Inventor for one of our clients and havemade it a standard practice of using letters instead of numbers toidentify items in assembly drawings. This allows us to include itemquantity in split item balloons without confusing the guys on theshop floor. Previously, the large number of numbers on each drawingview would occasionally lead to errors. Now, there is no chance ofconfusing an item identifier with a quantity.
Is there any practical way of using letters instead of numbers toidentify BOM items?
