My IT guru Jason, has asked me to query the SolidWorkscollective to see if any of you are using iFilter's. See websitesbelow:
http://www.net-intent.com/ifilters/default.asp
http://www.net-intent.com/ifilters/default.asp?Prod=swk
Here is his question:
I have SQL Server 2005 in a clustered environment. I am looking foran iFilter to extend the Full Text search capability of SQL Serverso that I can search for words on a SolidWorks drawing after thefile has been uploaded into the database. Has anyone overcome thisissue?
Jason showed me what he was doing and on our stand-alone SQL Server2005 install the iFilter reads the SolidWorks files for customproperties etc. However for some reason it is not working in theclustered environment.
Are any of you using the dll's that are available on the siteabove? Can you offer some insight?
Let me know and I will get you in direct communication with Jason.
Regards,SolidworksGeneral
