We have an "unofficial" new way of doing contour only renderings in BETA 3.  It's unofficial b/c the new method is only enabled (and disabled) via a registry setting...at the moment.  Rather than go into the detail of things and explain why this exists, I'd first like to simply ask that people try it, and give us their feedback and perhaps share some results here in the thread. Particularly Old/Off vs New/On results.

Again, this applies to Contour Only renderings (and not the "Contour and Solid Model" option).  Use the attached .reg files to enable/disable the new method.  There are no additional options or anything to check.  The change is all internal. 

• Without Beta3 running, double click the "ON New Contour Only.reg" file to enable it.  (You need local admin privaleges on your machine to do this).
• Go into PhotoView Options, enable contour rendering, and choose the option on the left to do Contour Only.
• Change line color and thickness just as you always would have. 
• To re-render a model using the current/original method, exit SolidWorks, double click the "OFF New Contour Only.reg" and repeat.
