We try to avoid using excel spreadsheets in our Sworksdrawings, unfortunately we have legacy drawings with large amountsof dataheld on excel spreadsheets. We use standard symbols inthesespreadsheets including '+/-' symbol, diameter symbol anddegreesymbol. These drawings are created here then checked-in toPDMWorks Enterprise. The problem starts when our Chinesecolleaguescheck-out and open the drawings, these symbols change toa '?' orto a Chinese character. We have checked both fontlibraries, theyhave all the same fonts that we do, plus some more. Please seeattached sample pictures. We've tried various approachesbut stillget this anomaly. Using 'ALT' codes and character mapsseemed tohelp, but this isn't user friendly. Copying and pastingfrom Word(or similar) is the easiest method, but this is whatcauses theproblem.
- Does anybody know what's happening, and suggest apossiblesolution?
- Alternatively, does anybody know of a way to copy acompleteexcel spreadsheet and paste into a Sworks general table inone hit?(Copying one cell at a time is not an option)
Thanks in advance for any replies.
