We are in the process of installing Solidworks 2007 SP2.1 andreceived the following error message:
"Error 1911: Could not register type library for file C:\ProgramFiles\Common Files\Solidworks Shared\swBackOfficeCore.dll. Pleasecontact your support personnel."
Client OS is running XP SP2 with all the latest OS patches. Allprevious Solidworks products have been removed using theSWCleanUninstall.exe application prior to running the setup.
I am using an administrative image to setup SW2007 Premium on thislaptop. The install image was updated from SP0.0 to SP2.0 then toSP2.1.
I did find an SolutionS-010052 dealing with this topic indicating that users mightreceive an eAutomation error -2147221231 but this seems like itwould occur at startup not during install. The solution seemssimple use regsvr32 to register the dll...SolidworksAdministration
