I've been using my Space Ball 5000USB for 1.5 yrs.+ with noproblem. All of a sudden my commands are not all working: forinstance: line, circle. Oddly enough I can get the trim command orsome other commands to work assigned to any button so it probablyis not a hardware issue.
Another thing I don't understand is the discrepancy between thedriver update I got from 3D Connection (3.6.11) and the driverversion my driver details lists (5.1.2600.5512). I've done acomplete uninstall / reinstall including removing the registryfiles.
This appears to be a button mapping issue. I noticed in the 3Dcontrol panel, I have 5 different configurations. If I toggle fromone SW configuration to another, it seems to change theconfigurations to a defalt. I deleted all but one of the SWconfigs. did not help.
I can map buttons from the tool bar in SW, or by opening the 3Dwindow but the mapping is different in each; one does not reflectthe other. Also, in the past, from the 3D tool bar in SW, I've hadthe option under keyboard, to select hot keys I've asssigned butnow they are not there.
Anyone have similar issues?
Windows XP Professional (V.2002 SP 3)
Running on Dell PWS690
Xeon (R) CPU

SW 2008 SP 4.0
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
