I would like to conduct a drop test simulation on a case for a medical device. I am only interested in the stress propagation in the corner member and the Aluminum extrusions immediately surrounding the corner connector.

Is there anyway to only mesh the small region of interest such that my simulation doesn’t take 15 years to run on my computer?
