Established full-service metal fabrication company in Tampa, FL is seeking a qualified Estimator & SolidWorks Drafting Associate to join their existing drafting and project estimating teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with metal fabrication processes, SolidWorks CAD, and some type of estimating software. At minimum, candidates must have a demonstrated working knowledge of metal fabrication and be CAD / computer literate with spreadsheets, MS Word, etc.

The Estimator will need to interpret and utilize mechanical prints, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Good math and language skills are required for the generation of reports and interaction with customers and other internal / external stakeholders.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Attitudes Required:
The SolidWorks Drafting Associate understands comprehensive details, such as materials, measurements and building procedures needed during production processes. This includes but is not limited to: creating blueprints, drawings and models for a variety of products and structures, preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for potential projects, communicating with vendors and clients to acquire necessary specifics, assisting in project analysis and pre-production meetings, and a strong commitment to improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of project design and estimating.

The position collaborates very closely with the estimating team and also works with company fabricators, designers, and other drafting professionals. Understanding and experience with the most recent version of SolidWorks is required. Experience with Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 policies and procedures, or Quality Assurance programs is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; good planning and problem solving skills with proven track record in achieving results; demonstrated innovation, creativity and decision making abilities and a great work ethic, great attitude, and a commitment to being the best are required.

An associate's degree in an engineering or related area is preferred; candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area. Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience (ie. \$19-26/hour or \$45-55,000/annual).
