I'm a Hypershot user, and when Solidworks 2008 came out Ifound out that Hypershot didn't support the new file formatimmediately so I had to revert back to SW2007 for a couple ofmonths. Now I have been beta testing Solidworks 2009 all the waythroughand I want to start using it for production work soon, but,I depend on Hypershot for product rendering. So this time I thoughtI'd check before making the leap and sure enough Hypershot doesn'tsupport the SW2009 file format yet.
I asked why and here is the answer I received (saying I would raisethis on the SW forum):

Please do - same issue as last year w/ SW 2008 - came about 6 weeksafter the shipped:
Here is the answer from the SW API team:

This display list sample is not availble yet.
I have written a request that the display list sample be updatedand posted.

So I am left with the dilemma, I want to start use SW2009 now but Ineed Hypershot rendering. The only option I then have is to exportas a non native file format into Hypershot (and so lose all thetexture mapping properties).
Question. SW2009 beta was a shortish process and the file formatremained the same through the last few releases. So why isn't thisAPI issue available upon release when Bunkspeed has so manySolidWorks customers?
Do I really have to wait another month or two before I canintegrate SW2009 into my workflow?
