Slow Performance...

We use SolidWorks 2007 sp 2.2 on a Dell-690 with two Intel XEONprocessors 3.20Ghz with 4Mb of L2 cache each (each one is dual coreand also support Hyperthreading so they work as 8 CPU's), and 8Gbof RAM (configured with 8Gb of VM for a total of 16Gb of space)...We work with very complex "top-down" 100% parametricassemblies, where all components and sub-assemblies are related toskeletons and have complex equations, the performance of thesoftware is extremely slow... however we observed that SW only loadthe machine to a maximun of 13 - 14% of the total CPU capacity, soit is not utilizing all the processing power of the machine (noteven the capacity of a single core of one single CPU, since thatwill be 25% of the total capacity)...

Any one have any similar experience?  Is there any way toconfigure the machine or the software so it uses more CPUcapacity?...

COSMOS run extremely fast and "load" the CPU's up to60-70% of capacity... but SolidWorks works extremely slow (it takesover one minute to open or close a single sketch for editing andonce open, adding a line or a new relation takes from 20 to 30sec.)... Sad
