Hi,
Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move itto the correct place, but I couldn't find a section for mold designhere.
Well here is the problem anyway.
I am trying to create a shut off surface to split the core of amould where half of the core moves in one direction and half in theopposite. The core is split diagonally, and this results in a shutoff surface in three pieces (kind of z shaped with the top andbottom small ends and the diagonal middle bit. I can get thediagonal middle bit to select as a shut off surface, but the twoends each share an edge with the middle section so I cannot addthem as seperate loops.
I try knitting the three surfaces together then selecting the looparound the outside of all three parts but the message in the shutoff surface window says the edges selected do not form a loop? Iassume because they are in different planes??
Can anyone help, if you think you might have an idea whats wrongand need more detail I can post a picture if you require. I willtry to add one soon anyway.
many thanks
