We use primary revisions for product design changes.
We use secondary revisions for minor documentation changes.
People get freaked out when they see "02.004" listed in the revcolumn of a BOM.
We would like to set up part templates that would report only theprimary revision in an assembly BOM.
Can I set up a part template's DT to get the current revision ofthe (eventual) part when opened from the PDMWorks Vault: "03.005"
and have it return the interger: "3"
which would in turn become the part's custom property that would bereported an assembly's BOMs reevision column.
or
would I try to do this in an Equation in our SW templates?
