Restoring Files From Backup

We recently had a vault user delete some of his files onlylater to discover he still needed them. Our IT department recoveredthe files from the backup but they didn't recover directly to thevault but rather the files are in a folder on the network.

The files can be renamed, opened and checked in again, but I thinkthe other files in the folder indicate they contain informationabout properties, whereused, etc. that might not go along with it.(see attached screenshot)

The question is, did the IT people follow the proper restoreprocedure? Shouldn't the restore have gone directly into the vault?As the vault admin on the user side, is there a way I can check inwith all the info?
