I wanted to start a thread dedicated to those of us that make renderings, and then make the actual product we rendered. I'll start with an anniversary present I made for my 10 year wedding anniversary last year. I tried modeling some different things and rendered them to get an idea if it would look like that in the end. With the renderings I was able to get some suggestions for tweaks and ideas for the project. It wasn't exactly easy to make. The anniversary traditional gift was aluminum, so i thought perfect! I can make something out of aluminum. It is all aluminum except for some 4-40 screws holding all the heart on. I also waited until the last minute as always. Please post rendered and real-life pictures of some things you have done as well.
