Renaming Components via the Feature Tree

You can now rename components directly from the feature
tree, even the very top-level nodes in the tree. There are restrictions such as
components that are read-only, Toolbox, etc... These renamed components are
only temporarily renamed in the tree (not on disk yet) until the file(s) are
saved (now renamed on disk) in which you can then choose to “Update where used
references” so that documents that aren’t opened (in memory) will be updated to
the newly named document so references aren’t lost when later opening other
file(s).

Anyone who had previously used SW Explorer to achieve
similar results should recognize the dialog. We tried not to change this too
much since this is the workflow many users are already used to. I should note
in Beta 2 that when the option “Update where used references” is used the
Search for referenced documents will begin immediately similar to SW explorer
to prevent users from accidently hitting OK prior to Search and losing desired
references.

Please give this a try, especially again in Beta 2.
