In many programming applications it is possible to create areference file
(often a text file--properly formatted) and have other elementsrefer to this reference file for information.
I am working on custom properties for SW drawings. These customproperties will contain information needed for the title block ofthe drawing.
It was my desire to be able to update certain elements of the titleblock all at once.
That is, I wanted to be able to update hundreds of drawing sheetswith similar information all at once.
I thought that a convenient way to do this would be to have acommon reference file that I could update as needed and theinformation would be updated in the SW drawing sheets as needed.
Is this possible?
I will be buying PDM works later-- as this is something we need.But it should be possible to accomplish this task without having tolearn how to operate PDM works.SolidworksDrawings And Detailing
