When I first bulk loaded all of our SW files into PDMworks, Isimply created new projects and made the description name the sameas the project name (application number). Obviously I couldn't gothrough thousands of application files to get specific.
Now I want to change the description field on certain projects andI'm wondering... Is the description field a name specific field? Inother words, if project XXX's description is "test fixture", doesthat mean that NO OTHER project in the whole vault can use "testfixture" as its description? Must each description say somethingdifferent?
I was thinking of using the customer name in this field. Obviouslysome customers have more than one application/part number.SolidworksWorkgroup Pdm
