Hi
Relatively new to SW (~3 months). Is it possible to pattern acomponent in an assembly, then create an assembly feature, such asa cut, that makes each instance of the component different, andthen finally have each instance be saved as an individual part or aconfiguration in a part? Hopefully that makes sense... See attachedscreen shots for a simple example of when this would be useful forme.
I know it would be possible to get the same end result by editingeach component and adding a configuration, or by starting with anew part for each instance, but that gets mighty tedious withenough instances.
If not possible, are there any other methods I'm not thinking aboutto address this?
Thanks for any help!
