I have made a small program that save the active document andgive it a name like 002345 and the next one will be 002346. Ifthere is interest in this it would be very simple to make it ad thename to the properties as well.
This is my first program so there is probably some bugs in it Ihave also included the code so if you want to customize the programfeel free. When you run the exe file it will download shoes(shoooes.net).
I am also working on making ruby library for the SolidWorks API sothat I can easily make my own ruby programs for SW and finally makea web based application for interactive design using ruby on rails
