As we know that SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2018 will allow us to solve nonlinear contact analysis using the Displacement control method. The capabilities related to this functionality are incorrectly documented in the SOLIDWORKS 2018 Beta 1 What’s New document.

Note that we can use Displacement Control to solve nonlinear contact analysis with the Direct Sparse and the Intel Direct Sparse solvers only. Only the surface-to-surface contact formulation is supported when activating the Displacement Control.

Documentation team has already updated the topic for a future service pack of SOLIDWORKS 2018.
