The Non Linear Edge flange command introduced in SOLIDWORKS 2021 needs to have the provision of "Edit Flange Profile" option to incorporate complex flange shape as like we have this when we perform the linear edge flange which is a core requirement in sheet metal design.

Since if we use the non linear edge flange on a closed sheet metal profile then generating sheet metal flat pattern can give us undesired results in the fabrication perspective, it becomes more or less like forming operation when we generate edge flange on circular edges. Is this something similar to multistage forming technique??  If so why don't we have the edit flange profile option to make complex flange shape,
