I have eight workstations that users are asking to have SW2009 installed on. I have installed SW2009 on a few for testing (noproduction files) to make sure there are no issues before goinglive with all workstations (our CAD files are shared on the networkso we all need to be working with the same release).
When I do go through and install SW2009 on all systems, is itpreferred to do an upgrade install, or a complete install andremove SW2008?
One issue I came across with installing the 2009 was the toolboxmapping. I didn't think it would affect the 2008 toolbox but itdoes. Fortunely, there was a backup (SWBrowser.mdbold). I have tomap the SW2009 toolbox to a different folder to make both 2008 and2009 functional.
Another question about administrative images: We have eightworksations with four different models (varying hardware), if wehave SP issues down the road, will I run into trouble using anadministrative image for installation or can it be controlled asfar as which systems get upgraded and if a SP needs to be removedfrom a system or two?SolidworksAdministration
