Need to adding QTY of parts to NEW general table

SF 2008-12-16

I need to create a new General Table that acts like a BOM.The SolidWork BOM can identify QTY of parts.
How can I add that same function to a General Table without alwayshaving to edit the SolidWorks BOM?
