My Idea was deleted.........

While my idea may NOT of been a function in SolidWorks, I still think it is a valid idea and should of been left up for everyone to vote on.

For those who missed it, the idea I submitted was to "reduce the cost of subscriptions as the cost is too high for individual owners of the software" included in the idea was "if you have version X of SolidWorks (for example SW2013) you should be allowed to have all service packs for that version even if your subcription ran out before the latest SP was released"

My idea was removed with the explanation that is was not a "function" in SolidWorks and only ideas that are a function should be posted.

I was told the idea would be removed before it was, and I replied that it should be left up and the results of the voting could be forwarded to "whomever" in corporate that sets the pricing for subscription costs.....let them know users have concerns on the operating costs of SolidWorks, especially for the individual owners.

Later on I received a PM..........."the person / people I should voice my concern on subscription costs would be my VAR"........well the VAR says that they can only give the pricing dictated to them by SW Corporate.....so "Passing of the Buck" was the answer.....

I hope this can be a discussion here and my post wont be deleted like others have on this same subject have been in the regular forums. I would like to hear from others if you think my "idea" was valid, and if it should have been left up or not.

While I do concede my idea is not a function, I still think it warrants voting on if it is a concern to others.....after all, if we cant afford it then "real functions" in SolidWorks wont matter if its not being used anymore / or less.
