Mold and Die Standard Holes

Hello,

I am just wondering how many of you use Solidworks to design injection molds or stamping dies without having any third party software? If so how much of the toolbox have you modified to have standard mold/die holes that are not in the hole wizard yet? There are only a few mold catalogs and none die catalogs in SW2010, I have not went to SW2011 yet I do not know if there is more there. What I mean there is not option for leader pin bushings, guided ejection bushing, etc.

The common practice to create your own only shows how to copy a standard and add your size that you need and most of the post are people that need a thread size that is not listed. To add more types of holes you really need to modify the database file, which Solidworks does not want you to do, but I have been adding some of these to a copy of the file (always keep a backup of the original). I also have the callout file added for each type of hole I have added.

This post is just for information on how many people wish there was more options in these catalogs.
