I’m in the process of introducing ISO Fits and Tolerances to our precision manufacturing. I’ve made required standards and SW dimensioning is supporting it well.
Now I need to create the machining model to its mid tolerance dimensions . Would like to have system to specify, i.e. not only mid(=50%) but 25%, 50%, 75% …. of the tolerances? (ER?)
Already there is a macro supplied by SW which I could use:
https://help.solidworks.com/2016/english/api/sldworksapi/Set_Dimensions_to_Mid-Tolerance_Example_VB.htm which creates a derived configuration of the active configuration.
The question is, why does it remove the tolerances added to the active configuration? Is there a reason for it or could I disable the tolerance removal step? What should I do?
