I am having problems with my Top-level Assemblylockingunconstrained parts from a sub assembly.

Example: If I  have an assembly with a shaft and acollar,with the collar only being constrained as concentric withtheshaft. It is possible to slide the collar along the axis oftheshaft. When I then insert this Sub-assembly into anAssemblySolidWorks locks the collar in its place.

Is it possible to set it up so that the collar can bedraggedfreely in the Top Assembly? Any tips would begreatlyappreciated.
