Local training vs video training

Hello people,

The past few months I have had a concern about the video content within my.SolidWorks.

Practically all training material that we VARs usually sell to customers, which is one of the major roles as a VAR, is now available for free, or as long as the customer has an active subscription, within my.SolidWorks.

In my national market, companies are not yet very aware of this situation because they don't use the forums as a source of information regarding SolidWorks, but this is surely going to change in time. Specially once they realize that they can train their employees for free.

Apart from specialized consultancy training that is not available online and depends heavily on our experience as trainers, regular SW training curriculum is basically being handed out. And specialized training is not so frequent among our customers.

The SolidWorks VAR channel as always been the main link between SolidWorks and its customers, but with all the cloud and online tools made available by SolidWorks, I believe this link is getting thinner and thinner.

I would like to know your opinions about this path that SolidWorks is undertaking, and if anyone else shares my concern!
