Hi All, Please someone put me out of my misery. I'm new to SW after 10 years working with Inventor. I have set up our 3D system to work with Inventor and all is well & good.

I am however finding it difficult to get SW to integrate with our system.

We use I.F.S. to control drawing numbers, item numbers and material stock codes etc

For instance all our drawings are a 9 digit number begining with 222, all our bought out items have a unique 222 9 digit number.

Here is my problem - I want to add a unique 222 number to each of our sheetmetal materials.

3mm Zintec for instance is 222223161

1mm Zintec is 222236599, 1.5mm Zintec is 222236600

I want this number to populate a column in both BOMs and the cutting list. I can do this for weldments because each structural member has it's own profile so I simply add a cutom property to each profile for each material & shape and enter in the relevant IFS 222 number.

I've watched a video that shows something similar using equations and global variables but I've no idea how to do this for lots of varying thicknesses. Any help will be appreciated but I've no idea when it comes to writing variable equations.
