Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I've got a domed surface which is an orange LED lamp. UnderAppearances, I chose "Amber LED" for this feature. UnderIllumination, I made it a light source. As you can see in theattached picture, it is emitting orange light, but the domedsurface itself is quite dark. Anybody have pointers for how to makethis thing light up?
