I am running into an issue with an imported .step file. I would like to convert the model to sheet metal and flatten to develop tooling to produce the part. I running into an issue with some of the bends returning an error that the geometry is too complex. I have attached a sample of the file as a .step. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
