Opening time difference: 1012 seconds in 2017 versus 507 seconds in SW2018!!!

I checked the settings, to make sure the comparison is fair.

Both have the Verification on Rebuild off.

Both have all files saved in the appropriate versions.

Both have the same Image Quality Setting.

Both are loading the assembly Fully Resolved.

What did you do, ​ and SW team??? There is nowhere written in the 2018 What's New document, that the performance has been improved that much.

Will do more tests with other large assemblies and report back.

I really hope I made no mistake during testing, but this seems to good to be true.
