Alright, woe and betide those that have been here.
I have experienced a spectrum of graphic issues since moving to2008. There has been a consistent and somewhat reproduceablegraphic area update issue since workign with 2008.
For myself, I tend to get the black background. I can resize mySolidWorks application and if I make the window small enough thebackground / graphic area goes from BLACK to the DSS SolidWorksgraphic. After a little while though, I have to shrink theapplication down some more to restore the background image. Repeat, repeat, repeat until it stops working and I need to shutdown andrestart SolidWorks.
I've gotten reports from our customers describing this and asimilar issue, where the graphics area fails to update / updates inchunks and blocks, shows the desktop through the graphic area.
Oddly enough, the issue most pressing is coming from a user onSolidWorks 2007 SP 4 or 5
I've never experienced the issue in 2007.
Anyone with the black display / other applications display in thegraphic area on minimize/restore operations?SolidworksAdministration
