I am trying to reproduce a simple 3 sided box in solidworkand then make the flat pattern and send it to our water jetmachine. I am creating the model completely in the sheet metalenvironment. I made a base flange then an edge flange for all 3sides in one step. If a export the flat pattern the corners justshow up as sharp corners. It appears that the software does applysome sort of relief in the corner but it does not show up in theflat pattern. I have noticed that if you uncheck corner treatmentthen it will show some sort of relief, more of a notch.
I tried to take the blank profile with bend lines and then bring itback into solidworks and rebend with sketchbend it and it will notwork. I have many old autocad files/waterjet files. I would thinkthat you should be able to rebend the flat part just like you wouldwith a any blank shape in the realworld.
I have attached 3 files so show what I am doing.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to properly use the sheetmetalfeature.
Thanks
