We are planning on naming our files with both the part numberand description. For example:
SR021204 Widget, Nifty.SLDPRT
We are using the PartNo property to contain the part number. If thefile name was just the part number, I could easily make the PartNoproperty equal to the file name. Is there a way to have it onlyinclude the first part of the file name rather than the wholething?
The reason I want to do this is so that we only have to change thepart number in one place (the file name) and have everythingupdate. This will help us as we rename or copy things.
I plan to use the PartNo property on the drawing on BOM tables.
If there is a better way for me to accomplish this, please let meknow. Naming with only the part number is not an option at thistime.
