Hello all,
I would like to know the break-up of sizes for each feature of apart. I checked the feature statistics, but this provides only therebuild time in seconds for each feature.
I want to know this, as during one such part modelliing session, the part rebuild appeared to take longer and longer. Unaware of thereason, I continued to add features. Finally, when I realised thatthe part rebuilds was becoming extremely sluggish, I doubted thesize of the file, which I realised had become too big for thisfairly simple part. However, I had no clue as to which feature, down the line was actually contributing to the file size.
Obviously, I started from the bottom, trying to delete/ suppressone feature after another and checking the overall file size aftereach operation. I was able to isolate a cut-upto-surface feature inmy part (I still have no clue as why such a simple feature shouldactually guzzle this much disk space). The file size was almosthalf now. What's happening?
Any clue will help
Thanks in advance
Ashok
P.S : Is there a ready recknor/ tabulation which will give sizes ofgeneric features(cut, revolve,sweep....and other variants/combinations) in an ascending order. This may help to undertake themost optimal method to make a feature and consequently a lean part.
