I would like to see a new feature implemented in the next version of Solidworks called "Software Testing." I just learned about it and it turns out that a lot of software companies use this method prior to the release of their products. I found an entry about it in a cool free encyclopedia I just heard about:
Software testing is an investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the product or service under test.[1] Software testing can also provide an objective, independent view of the software to allow the business to appreciate and understand the risks of software implementation. Test techniques include, but are not limited to, the process of executing a program or application with the intent of finding software bugs(errors or other defects).
I hope Solidworks programmers utilize this new idea for future releases. If one of you is reading this, please don't feel the need to give me credit for the idea--knowing that I helped is its own reward.
