I had a drawing which had two detailed views of some holedimensions to be drilled in a mild steel plate profile.
The profile was to be laser cut and so to aid the manuifacture isaved the solidworks drawings as an AutoCAD dwg format to whcih iemailed to the laser cutters.
When you convert the drawing and set the options (i.e to set it to1:1) you must re-scale the detailed views to all be the same scaleas the parent, otherwise when it is saved as a dwg it re-sizes thedetailed views by some unknown scale value. Consequently the twodetailed views showed completely different dimensions for the holesand if it werent for checking twice (& cutting once) the holeswould have been all over the place.
Just thought it may be of interest.SolidworksImport export
