I am looking for "A New Hope". Every day I fire up SWX2016 (because I am doing all our new development and have finally recreated all the stuff we touched in SWX2017). One of the first things I do now is look for news regarding a new 2017 service pack, even an Early Visibility (EV) version.
Why do I do this?
1. Because I really want to use the new features of 2017.
2. We already touched a bunch of files in 2017 making them virtually unusable for 2016 and forcing us to recreate those we have to work with for more than just reference.
3. I want to see what SWX has done to address the crippling problems of 2017.
At most it will only give me a new hope because I will not be one to beta test an EV unless it explicitly addresses the many problems we've encountered. Sorry, I've regretted doing this before and swore off doing it again. IF the EV states that it fixes this raft of problems, by clearly naming them in the release notes, then I'll have hope for the fully released version.
I really, really hope the next service pack fixes a lot of the basic stability problems of SWX2017. Boy, SWX2017 has dramatically made the case for
