• Interactive performance in SolidWorks when Enterprise PDM add-in is present has been significantly improved. This includes operations like selection, deselection, add/delete features, explode/drag etc. Same is true for right mouse button menus in graphics window or feature tree. The biggest gains will be seen in case of high latency to database server.
• File open times for large assemblies in lightweight should also see very good improvement.

There are some changes in the behavior -

• When component is selected in SolidWorks (in graphics window or feature tree), it won't be automatically selected in the Enterprise PDM tree. It is highlighted in a grey color so that you can see which component it is.
• Existing RMB (in graphics window or feature tree) menu items for Enterprise PDM are now inside the "Enterprise PDM" top level RMB menu item, and all the menu items are enabled.
• When user is working in the Enterprise PDM pane itself there are no changes in behavior.

As a result of these changes, there will be a big reduction in the number of databse calls when users are modeling in SolidWorks, which will reduce sql server load.
