Do You Have a Favorite SolidWorks World Story?

Hi Everyone,

If you've ever attended SolidWorks World, you know the general sessions are fantastic, the technical sessions are even better, and the special events are really cool.  All of that wrapped together makes SolidWorks World one of the best CAD conferences in the industry, and leaves lasting impressions on just about everyone who attends.

I know it would be hard to find one single thing that might be your favorite memory (especially if you've been to many conferences), but I'd like to hear some of them.  Was it a specific session, an event, or a presenter?  Maybe it was the chance to meet someone you knew online but not in person.  Whatever the story, I think it would be fun to share them.  I'll even get things started with my favorite SWW memory.

SolidWorks World 2000 - New Orleans

This was my second time at SolidWorks World, and of course I was looking forward to it very much.  As I was milling around the registration area, I noticed that two nice ladies were conducting a survey from behind a table - I know one of them was Laura K., and I'm pretty sure the other was Liz H.  I sat down at the table and Liz began asking me questions - name, company, address, etc.  Then she asked for my SolidWorks serial number.  Before Laura could lean over to tell Liz that they didn't need that information, I rattled off the 16 digit number.  Laura looked right at me, and with a serious look on her face said...

"What a geek."

I'll never forget that, and I still laugh whenever I think about.
