Dimension do not show on screen....

Sad

You are going to be working "top-down".... to reproducethisbig problem...

You are using SW 2007 sp 2.2....

Open a new assembly...

On the main assembly equations manager you define aglobalvariable

"B-Radius_as_%-of-Part_Thickness" = 0.6

On the main assembly you define a skeleton sketch withdimensionsthat lather will be driven by a design table.... one ofthatdimensions is for example the length of a part, another isthethickness.... etc.

Then you create a sub-assembly (nested inside the assembly)andinside that sub-assembly you create a part... on the properplaneyou define the sketch of the section of the part (a profiletocreate e sheet metal part by extrusion of a single lineprofile, lets say a "C" channel).

You create the sheet metal part... extrude anydimension"blind" in on direction and close the feature... nowyouclick two times on the feature, locate the "Thickness"\$Var andunlink the variable... open the equation manager of thepart anddelete the global variable "Thickness"...

Remember you are editing the part "in-context" workinginsidethe main assembly...

Now click two times on the sheet metal feature and selectthe"thickness" dimension variable.... click it two times andselectadd equation... the equation is equal to the value of thedimensionyou define on the skeleton sketch... so you want to beable toselect that dimension from inside the equation definitionwindow...therefore you click on the skeleton sketch... go to thefeaturemanager and click two times on that sketch... and WHERE ARETHEDIMENSIONS?  the software do not show them on thegraphics...they are there... but you can not see them... so howyou can selectthem to enter them into the equation?... this workon formerversions.... but not on 2007 sp 2.2

Any one know why this happen?  how we can be able toselectdimensions (or even to see them for reference purposes) fromasketch of an assembly when working (editing) a part at alowerlevel?...  This is a lot of fun when working on aassemblywith over 1000 parts and need to link and equation to adimensionon a sketch that have over 60 dimensions... and also youhave 30 or40 more skeleton sketches on the same assembly...

Bugs... Bugs... and Bugs....
