I just talked my boss into getting me a new workstation torun SolidWorks 2008. Old machine was 5 years old. Arrrrg
Now I have a Dell Precision T5400, Dual Core Zeon Processor, 3.0GHz, 6MB Cashe, 4GB SDRAM, nVidia FX3700 512MB video card &dual 250GB SAATA hard drives and a 5 button Dell mouse with ascroll button that won't work in SolidWorks or AutoCad. (model #MOA8BO)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In AutoCad the wheel will scroll the drawing up or down but doesnothing in SolidWorks.
I downloaded the latest Dell Driver and got their Mouse Suite.Mouse works correctly in other programs. On Dells forums userscomplained about this situation last year, so I called Dell forhelp (waste of time) they told me to contact AutoDeck andSolidWorks and ask them why Dells mouse doesn't work with theirsoftware.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a fix?
I haven't contacted AutoDeck or SolidWorks yet.SolidworksAdministration
