Hi People...
I'm very new to the world of simulation within solidworks, aboutthe limit of my experiences is basic comosxpress simulation onindividual parts.
Basically what I need to do is to work out the deflection of athermally broken length of aluminium extrusion. (for those thatdon't know windows, 2 separate aluminium extrusion profiles joinedby a glass filled polyamide extrusion (see attached image))
is there a way that I can easily anchor the ends of the profile andapply a force to the centre to measure the deflection of the beam.
when opening simulation it tells me that I need to complete amotion study first.
but to be honest.... I'm not sure where to start as motion studydoesn't (that I can see atleast) allow me to do this in a matterthat would simulate applying a load to the profile and anchor theends.
Any help you can offer or if you could point me in the direction ofa good tutorial
Many thanks
