So I'm 99% sure I've done this before with previous versionsofsolidworks, but I want to define a value within a feature (inmycase the spacing of a linear pattern) that matches that ofaparticular sketch- why can't I see a pulldown or option tochooselinked value when I'm editing the feature?
I can do this within the sketch- define the variable 'width'andthen all sketch values always match as intended. But ifthewidth happens to be 12"- and I want that to match avaluedefinition in a feature (ie. make instances 12" apart)- Ican'tseem to do that.
Will linked values within a part be able to be applied toassemblyfeatures? Where did my pulldown arrow go for myfeaturevalue? ugh.
thanks for any help!
(would this be best accomplished with a table?)
