Javelin Technologies, Canada’s leading provider of 3D Technology, is expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Data Management Application Engineer
for our Technical Services Division in either our Surrey BC, Calgary or Edmonton AB Offices.
An individual who is well spoken, a fast
learner, has positive energy. As part of the Technical Services Team this role
is responsible for providing SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS ENTERPRISE product
support, implementation and consulting services, and product usage training to
our customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive technical support for SOLIDWORKS
ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS - Train customers on SOLIDWORKS
ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS - Implement and deliver SOLIDWORKS ENTERPRISE
services - Identify opportunities for up-selling and
future business for Javelin - Travel regularly to customer sites to
provide onsite support and training (occasional weekend and evening travel) - Liaise with customers and in-house staff and
partners regarding technical information as related to SOLIDWORKS
ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS - Provide explicit instructions related to SOLIDWORKS
ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS to
external and internal customers - Interpret inquires related to SOLIDWORKS
ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS and provide technical solutions as required - Troubleshoot issues with training equipment
- Create engaging
presentation using available software tools - Write technical articles, record screen
capture video of software processes for publishing to the organizations
technical blog - Occasionally attend tradeshows and
SOLIDWORKS user group meetings
QUALIFICATIONS &
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience
utilizing SOLIDWORKS ENTERPRISE and SOLIDWORKS - Minimum of a 3 year Mechanical Engineering
Technology Diploma required, Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Degree
preferred - Must have strong verbal, written and
listening communication skills - Experience providing tech support services
preferred - Excellent knowledge of mechanical CAD and
design industry required - Excellent customer relations ability
required - A creditable and lively presenter with a
professional demeanor - Solid understanding of engineering process
and terminology, and solid modelling process and jargon - Capable of computer networking and
troubleshooting - Well versed with Microsoft Windows 7
interface and functionality. Familiarity with Windows 8 an asset - Certified Enterprise PDM Administrator
(CEPA) preferred - SolidWorks CSWP or CSWA certification an
asset - Strong aptitude for Microsoft Office 2010/2013
(Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required - Additional industry experience (Product
design, tooling design, mold design, industrial design, electrical systems
design) an asset - Must have a reliable means of transportation
and a Valid Driver’s license; travel will be required - Must be capable of briefly lifting up to 65
lbs. (mobile laptop cases consisting of 4 laptops and accessories) - Ability to travel to the United States of
America preferred - Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have access to a motor vehicle
