In the past year I researched in depth the various ways one could "talk" to SOLIDWORKS, in order to develop a simple procedure that would meet the following objectives:
- Is one of the most efficient ways of using the interface, reducing the mouse movement for a typical user from 2-3 km/ day to 250 m/ day.
- Keeps the user's eyes focused on the model and not hunting for icons or menu items on the screen or for keys on the keyboard.
- Is easy to learn and master by beginners
When I thought that I got everything figured out, SOLIDWORKS 2016 decided to bring in the breadcrumbs and the amazing "D"-key. Now, what can I say? My technique got another 20% speed boost.
Just amazing stuff!!! Could anyone tell us the name of the person who came with the idea for the breadcrumbs+D combo? This person deserves our respect, admiration and a few hundred thousand dollars via a crowdfunding campaign, as a thank you from the SOLIDWORKS Community.
