I am interested in programming some add-ins that will accessinformation generated by simulation tools like COSMOS and COSMOSFlow, or create information in my own apps, in a similar fashion.
In particular; when flow is simulated (or light rays in Optis)there are lines or splines generated, that are not directlyselectable. I thought maybe they were 3D sketches on a lockedlayer, but there are no layers visible in my assemblies when I runa simulation.
1) Does anyone even know what we call these lines?
2) Does anyone know how to gain access to them, generate them, orotherwise manipulate them? For example, I'd like to store onesimulation and be able to overlay it with another, taken aftermodel changes.
3) Is this a tightly-guarded trade secret, available only todevelopment partners? Could be; some of the higher-priced functionsin advanced versions of simulation programs is just a way to accessand visualize the data that is already generated by thesesimulations. I'd sure like to write some of my own macros thatcould generate them though, as they are cleaner than ordinary 3Dsketches (they go away when the model is rebuilt, for example).
Thanks,
